Brisbane City Plan 2014 — Extractive resources overlay

Brisbane City Plan 2014 is Brisbane City Council's plan for the future development of Brisbane. The Extractive resources overlay identifies extractive resource areas, haulage routes and separation areas according to the State Planning Policy (SPP).

These areas determine the suitability of development where this overlay applies, in order to: ensure the continuity of facilitating extractive resources in these areas; minimise environmental impacts of development activities, especially those connected with haulage; and provide adequate site rehabilitation and preparation for use after the development activity.

The Extractive resources overlay also illustrates, for information purposes only, the boundaries of mining leases within the planning scheme area.

Brisbane City Plan 2014 is regularly updated with new or amended information. To stay informed about City Plan 2014 and to receive regular updates including proposed amendments, you can register your interest (CPAdmin@brisbane.qld.gov.au).
